About the Standards

Quality isn’t a guess, it’s verified.
The Interactio Interpreter Badges are built on internationally recognised ISO standards that define what excellence in interpreting looks like in the remote age.

ISO 23155

Focuses on interpreter qualifications and competencies. According to this standard, an interpreter must:

  • Meet the required qualifications and competencies.
  • Provide verified proof of education and training.
  • Demonstrate confirmed experience working as a conference interpreter.
  • Adhere to ethical standards, including maintaining confidentiality, as required by both the event organizer and the client.
  • Take responsibility for continuous professional development.
  • Collaborate effectively before the event by reviewing and analyzing provided materials in preparation.
  • Perform assigned tasks professionally during the event.
  • Ensure post-event requirements are fulfilled, including delivering necessary information and maintaining confidentiality at the highest level.

ISO 24019

Addresses the interpreter's ability to use technical equipment and platforms for simultaneous interpretation. According to this standard, an interpreter must:

  • Have appropriate technical equipment to deliver interpretation services.
  • Be proficient in using a simultaneous interpreting delivery platform.
  • Be able to select incoming and outgoing channels during the event.
  • Know how to transfer channels to booth partners.
  • Collaborate effectively with booth partners.
  • Handle minor technical incidents during the event.
  • Navigate the platform smoothly and assist booth partners if needed.

By aligning our badge requirements with these standards, we guarantee that every badge holder is ready to deliver professional, secure, and technically flawless interpreting in the most demanding environments.
