Institutions specified their conference rooms carefully - booths to standard, delegate units at every seat, channels for every working language. Then the requirements changed. Members need to attend remotely with full standing. Interpreters can no longer all be flown in. Sessions need captions, transcripts and an archive. AI translation is being asked for by name. None of that was in the original specification, and none of it justifies stripping out equipment that still works.

UniConnect manages a room's technical setup, covering devices, seats, channels, setup presets, and cloud connection. Presets import and export, so a recurring committee or a reproducible chamber configuration is one action away rather than a rebuild.
Devices include everything connected in the room.

UniConnect upgrades existing meeting rooms into AI-ready multilingual meeting environments, adding AI translation, meeting summaries, transcription, captions and analytics data. Integrated AI translation provides real-time communication across languages with low latency, high accuracy, delivery as text and/or audio, and support for up to 60 languages. Human interpreters and AI can share an interpretation channel: an interpreter can take over at any point, and AI translation takes over automatically when no interpreter is present. Where terminology matters, a custom model can be built from your key terminology.

What happens if the internet connection drops?
Delegate and interpreter units, camera control and preset import/export remain fully operational. AI translation, chat, file sharing, polls, recordings, remote interpretation, meeting moderation and joining a hybrid meeting with online participants all require the cloud connection.
How many languages does AI translation support?
Up to 60, delivered as audio, on-screen text, or both.
Can human interpreters and AI work on the same meeting?
Yes. Interpreters can take over a channel at any point, and AI translation takes over automatically when no interpreter is present.
Do remote participants get the same tools as people in the room?

Where does Interactio process and store meeting data?
Interactio is an EU legal entity. You choose whether your data is stored in the EU or North America. Core technology is developed in-house and encryption keys are managed in-house.
Is the interpretation standards-compliant?
Interactio enables ISO 24019 compliant remote and onsite simultaneous interpretation, satisfies ISO 20109 requirements, and holds ISO 27001.
Is Interactio certified for sensitive Commission work?
The European Commission's Directorate-General for Human Resources and Security certified Interactio as SNC compliant in February 2026.
Can live media stay inside a customer's own data center?
Yes. Interactio's hybrid deployment uses on-premises media servers, so live media stays in your data center. Metadata stays on Interactio's cloud infrastructure and can be encrypted with your own key via AWS KMS.
Can organizers control what each participant can do in a meeting?
Yes. Meeting roles are reusable with fine-grained permissions, meeting templates enforce a configuration policy so rooms can't be opened misconfigured, and multiple meeting links can be issued per meeting - each carrying a specific role, each optionally requiring authentication.
How is AI translation billed?
Separately, based on usage.
What's the reliability commitment?
A 99.95% uptime SLA, calculated on a 12-month trailing basis and derived from thousands of high-stakes events.
When is AI not the right choice?
Where accuracy is mission-critical, where speech is non-normative, or where the domain is niche. AI does not match human interpretation in quality yet. For mission-critical meetings, use interpreters - the same channel supports both.
